Pitt Adds International Talent to Backcourt with Four-Year Commitment from Amsal Delalic

Pitt University Verifies Amsal Delalic’s Eligibility

Pittsburgh Sports Now recently confirmed that Amsal Delalic will have four years of collegiate eligibility with the Pitt Panthers. This information was not initially announced by the program when he was signed, but a spokesperson later confirmed that he will have four years to play at Pitt.

In a press release, head coach Jeff Capel expressed his excitement about adding Delalic to the team. He praised the talented guard for his shooting abilities and overall feel for the game. Delalic, a 6-foot-7 prospect, previously played for Borac Nektar in Bosnia & Herzegovina and will bring a high level of international experience to the Panthers.

Delalic committed to Pitt after visiting the campus earlier this spring and shared his gratitude in an Instagram post for the opportunity to play basketball at the university. He has shown promise on the court, averaging nearly 14 points per game with impressive shooting splits in his past season with his professional team.

With Delalic joining the team, Pitt’s backcourt for the 2024-25 season will also feature returning guards Jaland Lowe and Ish Leggett along with Houston transfer Damian Dunn. Delalic’s addition adds depth and shooting ability to the roster as The Panthers look forward to continue improving under Coach Capel’s leadership
