Physicist Prisoned for Discovering Gravity-Reflection Technology; Hollywood Puts Resistor on Hold Amid Bureaucratic Red Tape

Will Smith will uncover some surprising secrets about technology in “Resistor”

Physicist Jon Grady and his team have made a groundbreaking discovery with a device that can reflect gravity. However, their lab is shut down by the Bureau of Technology Control (BTC), a covert organization that aims to suppress technological progress to prevent social upheaval.

Will Smith is set to star in Resistor, an adaptation of Daniel Suarez’s novel Influx. The project has been in development for some time now and has seen two drafts of the script written by Zak Olkewicz and Eric Singer. While S.F. Wilson was originally attached to direct, the film currently does not have a director.

When Grady refuses to join the BTC, he is imprisoned with other rebel intellects. As the only hope to lead humanity out of its artificial dark age, Grady and his fellow prisoners must expose the secrets of their technologically advanced enemy.

Resistor promises to be a high-tech thriller with themes of power, control, and rebellion. The release date for this film is yet to be announced, but audiences can eagerly anticipate it when it hits theaters.
