Phillies falter in series finale against Marlins, lose 7-6 in the 10th

Yahoo Sports highlights José Soriano’s eight strikeouts

The Philadelphia Phillies were unable to complete a sweep in Miami, as they lost 7-6 in the 10th inning. Despite starting pitcher Zack Wheeler struggling and allowing six earned runs in just four innings, the Phillies fought back to tie the game late. However, their comeback fell short and they lost the series.

Wheeler’s rough outing put the Phillies in an early hole, but the team showed resilience and battled back to even the score. Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough to secure a win and they suffered a tough loss to end what could have been a successful series sweep.

The loss was a disappointment for the Phillies as they will need to regroup and refocus as they move forward in the season and look to bounce back from this disappointing defeat.
