In July, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is hosting a series of blood drives throughout Lancaster County. With an ongoing low supply of blood and platelets, LG Health is urging those who are able to donate to help maintain a stable supply for those in need.
Individuals can register in advance for the blood drives either online or by calling (717) 544-0170. Appointments can also be made at LG Health’s Blood Donor Center. The blood collected during these drives will be used by local healthcare providers in Lancaster County.
The blood drive schedule for July includes a variety of locations across the county. This includes Providence Township Building in New Providence on July 2, Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute in Lancaster on July 3, and Faith Church Quarryville in Quarryville on July 9. Additional locations and dates are listed on the LG Health website.
