A settlement has been reached in the lawsuit between X Corp. and Adeia Inc., owned by Elon Musk. The case involved X Corp. seeking declaratory judgment that it did not infringe on streaming-technology patents owned by Adeia, despite Adeia insisting that they had not threatened litigation.
The US District Court in the Northern District of California, presided over by Judge Trina L. Thompson, agreed to put a stay on the case until the end of the month. However, the judge also stated that she would not cancel future court dates until a final settlement agreement was submitted for her approval.
The order summary for the case was posted on the court’s electronic docket. Adeia, previously known by another name, and X Corp. will now work towards finalizing the terms of the settlement agreement.
