Panthers Determined to Overcome 2023 NFL Struggles with Significant Offensive Improvements

Despite finishing last in the NFL with fewest yards and points in the 2023 season, the Carolina Panthers are determined to improve. According to David Kenyon of Bleacher Report, the Panthers’ offense has been ranked as the fourth most improved in the league following significant changes this offseason.

In 2023, the Panthers struggled to score, averaging just 13.9 points per game with only 4.1 yards per play. Quarterback Bryce Young had a challenging rookie season, but the team is hopeful for better results this year. The Panthers made major moves to improve their offensive line by signing guards Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis to big contracts, and adding depth with Yosh Nijman as a swing tackle.

In terms of receivers, the Panthers acquired Diontae Johnson through a trade and drafted Xavier Legette. They also selected running back Jonathon Brooks in the second round and tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders in the fourth round of the draft. These additions may not lead to an immediate turnaround, but the Panthers are optimistic about their improvements. The new offensive line and receiving corps should provide Young more opportunities to make plays and score points. With head coach Dave Canales leading them on offense, the Panthers hope for a significant increase in their offensive production this season.
