Outstanding Achievements: Sophomore Kynidi Mason Striverson Named Academic All-District Selection and Team Leader.

Mason Striverson earns spot on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

During the 2023-24 women’s basketball season, sophomore guard Kynidi Mason Striverson was recognized for her outstanding performance both on the court and in the classroom. She was named an Academic All-District selection by College Sports Communicators, becoming one of only three Evansville players to play in all 32 games and the sole player to start in all of them.

On the court, Mason Striverson proved to be a valuable player for the Aces, averaging 11.5 points per game and leading UE in assists with 122 over 32 games. Her dedication to her sport paid off as she earned this prestigious recognition for her well-rounded achievements on and off the court.

In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Mason Striverson has excelled academically with a 3.663 cumulative GPA as a business management major. She has earned a spot on the Dean’s List at the University of Evansville twice in her two years, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence.

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and either play in 90% of the team’s games or start in 66% of the team’s games. Mason Striverson met these criteria with ease, proving that she is not only a talented athlete but also an academically driven individual.

Mason Striverson’s dedication to both her sport and her studies has earned her this prestigious recognition, highlighting her well-rounded achievements on and off the court. She is truly an inspiration to us all and serves as a reminder that success can be achieved through hard work and determination in all aspects of life.
