OSF HealthCare Leads Tributes to Sister Diane Marie McGrew, Who Dedicated Her Life to Serving Others with Love and Compassion.

OSF HealthCare grieves the passing of system President

After a five-year battle with ovarian and uterine cancers, Sister Diane Marie McGrew, O.S.F., passed away on Sunday, June 9. She had been the president of OSF HealthCare since 2006, where she led the organization through both challenges and successes while upholding the vision of providing exceptional healthcare with love and dignity.

Bob Sehring, CEO of OSF HealthCare, praised Sister Diane Marie for her dedication to the mission of OSF HealthCare and for guiding the organization during difficult times. She had served in various key roles within the Congregation and the Ministry, including treasurer and Governing Board member. Her presence on the boards of OSF HealthCare, OSF HealthCare Foundation, and OSF Saint Francis, Inc., highlighted her commitment to advancing the OSF Ministry’s philanthropic efforts.

Sister Judith Ann Duvall, O.S.F., Chairperson of the Boards for OSF HealthCare encouraged honoring Sister Diane Marie’s memory by rededicating themselves to the Mission and continuing to provide exceptional healthcare with love and dignity. Visitation for Sister Diane Marie will take place at the Motherhouse in East Peoria, Illinois starting on Tuesday, June 11, followed by a funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 12 with burial on the Motherhouse grounds.

Sister Diane Marie’s legacy will continue to be remembered as someone who dedicated her life to serving others with love and compassion. She was a true inspiration to all who knew her and will always be remembered as a leader who made a lasting impact on those around her.

Sister Diane Marie’s leadership has left an indelible mark on OSF Healthcare’s mission of providing exceptional healthcare with love and dignity. Her dedication to this mission is evident in her service in various key roles within The Congregation and Ministry.

Her passing was deeply felt throughout both organizations as many mourned her loss but celebrated her life’s work that brought hope and healing to so many people.

Visitors are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours at the Motherhouse in East Peoria starting from Tuesday morning until evening.

On Wednesday morning at 9:30 am there will be a funeral mass held at Saint Francis Chapel on Motherhouse grounds which will be open to all who wish to attend.
