Oppo has announced the launch of two new smartphone models in Europe, the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro. These devices are equipped with advanced features based on artificial intelligence, providing users with new opportunities in terms of productivity and creativity.
The Reno series has been well-established in Europe since 2019 with the release of the first 5G smartphone, Reno 5G. During an event in Ibiza, Bingo Liu, CEO of Oppo Europe, highlighted the growing trend of AI in smartphones and emphasized that smartphones are becoming ideal tools for utilizing mobile AI.
Both models feature a new Futuristic Fluid Design and a high-strength alloy structure. The Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy mobile platform, developed to deliver high performance.
The cameras on both models feature generative artificial intelligence-based features like AI Eraser, AI Clear Face, and AI Best Face to enhance photo quality. The main camera uses a Sony LYT-600 sensor with autofocus and optical image stabilization, while the Reno12 Pro has a 50MP Telephoto Portrait Camera and a new 50MP Selfie Camera. The 5,000mAh battery supports 80W Oppo SuperVooc fast charging, allowing for a full charge in just 46 minutes.
In addition to these features, Oppo’s AI LinkBoost technology optimizes signal reception and network selection while BeaconLink function supports long-distance Bluetooth communications in emergency situations. The Oppo Reno12 Pro is available immediately for €599.99 euros while the Reno12 will be available soon for €499.99 euros. Discounts are available through Oppo’s trade-in program on their store until July 21st while promotions include credits for future purchases on Amazon.
