In recent news, OneTeam Partners and Altius Sports Partners have joined forces in a multiyear agreement. While the financial details of the deal were not disclosed, the partnership will focus on ASP educating school partners and athletes on group licensing opportunities available through OneTeam. Currently, OneTeam offers an opt-in process for the upcoming EA Sports college football game, and ASP will utilize its expertise to provide enhanced strategy services for OneTeam and advise on growth opportunities within the college space.
Launched in 2019 as a joint venture between the NFLPA and MLBPA, OneTeam has been at the forefront of maximizing the value of athletes’ rights through group licensing, marketing, media, and venture investing in both college and professional sports. On the other hand, Altius Sports Partners (ASP) provides consulting services to over 40 Division I athletics departments through its on-campus GM Program. Additionally, ASP Brands facilitates collaborations between brands and athletes through national NIL campaigns on behalf of blue-chip brands such as Powerade and Shake Shack.
This new partnership is expected to bring significant benefits to both companies by leveraging their respective expertise in group licensing and NIL spaces. By combining their resources and knowledge, they can provide even more comprehensive solutions to school partners and athletes in both college and professional sports.
