Olympic Swimming Trials Odds on DraftKings and Caesars Sportsbook: Is It a Taste of What’s to Come for the 2020 Olympics?

DraftKings Sports Book Releases Odds for Two Races at US Olympic Swimming Trials

DraftKings, the largest sportsbook in the United States in terms of market capitalization, has recently started offering odds on the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in select states, including Indiana where the event is taking place. This move comes following Caesars Sportsbook also offering odds earlier this year. These offerings are seen as a precursor to the upcoming Olympic Games, which have significant potential for gambling in the U.S.

As of Tuesday evening, only two races have odds listed for this week’s Trials. These races are the men’s 200 back and the women’s 200 breast. In both races, heavy favorites have emerged according to the odds available.

In the 200 back race, Ryan Murphy is a heavy favorite at -1000 with an expected win probability of 90.9%. Jack Aikins is next in line with odds of +700 and a win probability of around 12.5%. On the other hand, in the women’s 200 breast race, Kate Douglass holds a commanding lead with odds of -500 and an implied win probability of an astounding 83.33%. She holds the American Record and is well ahead of her competition. However, Lydia Jacoby has third-best odds despite declaring that she will not be swimming in that race, which highlights a potential weakness in wagering on Olympic events.

Interestingly enough, destiny Lasco was once considered as second choice but his strong performance has likely influenced more picks in Ryan Murphy’s favor . It is recommended to bet on Kate Douglass and Ryan Murphy to win and parlay them together to potentially earn a profit of around $3.2 with a $10 bet . It’s advised not to spend all your winnings at one place
