On Friday, Watertown, New York was alive with sports action. The day began with a doubleheader in college softball as JCC faced off against OCC on the turf.
In the first game, Katie Call hit a double to right center in the bottom of the 1st inning, bringing in Emily Birmingham and Delaney Wiley to score. The game was tied at 3 in the 4th when Mackenzie Lane singled to right, scoring Lia Canell and putting JCC back on top 4-3. In the 6th inning, Katelyn Adams executed a suicide squeeze play, bringing in Kainnah Ward to score and securing a 5-3 win for JCC. Despite winning the first game, JCC fell short in the second game, losing 9-5.
