Olympia Heights Arson Strikes Eyelash Extension Business: Suspicion, Damage and Determination

NBC 6 South Florida captures arsonists igniting blaze at Kendall eyelash business

In an alarming incident, arsonists broke into an eyelash extension business in Olympia Heights and set the entire storefront on fire. The video footage captured the moment when two men were seen surveying the premises before returning with a rock to break the glass. They then proceeded to pour gasoline on the building and ignite the fire, causing significant damage to everything that owner Indira Ortega had worked so hard to build.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning at an eyelash extension business located on the corner of Bird Road and SW 97th Avenue in Olympia Heights. Ortega informed NBC6 that she has a suspicion about who may be responsible for the arson, but the matter is currently under investigation. The damages caused by the fire are estimated at around $45,000, as seen in the video footage of the blaze spreading through the business.

Despite the devastation caused by this incident, Ortega remains determined not to give up on her plans to reopen her business. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters had already extinguished the fire. While officials have their suspicions about who may be responsible for this act of destruction, they are still investigating this matter further.
