The incident occurred early Thursday morning at an eyelash extension business located on the corner of Bird Road and SW 97th Avenue in Olympia Heights. Ortega informed NBC6 that she has a suspicion about who may be responsible for the arson, but the matter is currently under investigation. The damages caused by the fire are estimated at around $45,000, as seen in the video footage of the blaze spreading through the business.
Despite the devastation caused by this incident, Ortega remains determined not to give up on her plans to reopen her business. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters had already extinguished the fire.
