Olise Signs with Bayern Munich After Record-Breaking Season at Crystal Palace

Bayern poised to acquire Palace winger Olise

Michael Olise, a 22-year-old winger who scored 10 goals in just 19 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace last season, has decided to join Bayern Munich. This decision was made after several clubs, including Chelsea and Newcastle, expressed interest in the talented young player earlier this month. However, a deal with Palace was expected to be complicated due to Olise’s release clause of approximately £60m and the percentages of the transfer going to various parties, including Palace, the player himself, and his former club Reading.

Despite concerns from Chelsea about the overall cost of the deal, they had previously tried to sign Olise for £35m last summer. However, Olise ended up signing a new four-year contract with Palace that would keep him at the club until 2027. Despite Manchester United’s interest in the past, they are currently focusing on targets in other positions and will not be pursuing Olise.

In addition to his club successes, Olise has also been selected for the France squad for the Paris Olympics set to begin in July. Despite missing several games last season due to a hamstring injury, Olise’s talent and potential have attracted interest from top clubs in Europe. His move to Bayern Munich is expected to be a significant step in his career as he continues to impress on the pitch.
