In recent years, Oklahoma has emerged as a dominant force in the Women’s College World Series. They have won the tournament in 2017, 2016, and 2013 with records of 61-9, 57-8, and 57-4 respectively. In 2023, they once again claimed victory with a record of 61-1. The previous year, in 2022, they also won with a record of 59-3. However, in 2020, the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Going further back, UCLA took home the title in 2019 with a record of 56-6. In
