Oklahoma Takes On Pac-12 Transfer Raegan Beers: Ready to Take Big 12 and SEC by Storm

Raegan Beers, Former Oregon State standout, chooses Oklahoma as transfer destination

Oklahoma has landed a highly sought-after recruit in Raegan Beers, who has announced her decision to transfer from Oregon State. The junior forward shared the news on social media, revealing that she had averaged 17.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game during her last season with the Beavers. Beers emerged as a standout player with impressive shooting percentages, ranking second in the country.

Despite Oregon State’s success in previous seasons, including reaching the Elite Eight of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament, Beers made the tough decision to seek a new opportunity at Oklahoma. The dissolution of the Pac-12 led to several players entering the transfer portal, prompting Beers and others to explore different options.

Beers considered UConn but ultimately chose Oklahoma, where she will have the opportunity to play alongside top players like Skylar Vann, Payton Verhulst, and Sahara Williams. With Oklahoma’s recent success in winning consecutive Big 12 titles and making consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, it is poised for even greater things with Beers on board as they transition to the SEC.

In her video announcement, Beers expressed excitement about joining a program that values competition and passion for the game. She also highlighted how playing against formidable opponents like LSU and South Carolina would push her to become an even better player.

Beers’ decision marks another big win for Oklahoma’s women’s basketball program as they continue their pursuit of excellence under head coach Jennie Baranczyk.
