Oklahoma Sooners prioritize offensive line in 2025 recruiting, with Ty Haywood on their radar

Highly rated offensive tackle includes Oklahoma Sooners in top three choices

Oklahoma Sooners are prioritizing recruiting for their offensive line in the 2025 class. The team is actively pursuing several highly-touted offensive linemen to fortify their front line. Among their current recruits are four-star offensive lineman Ryan Fodje and three-star prospect Owen Hollenbeck.

Ty Haywood, a five-star offensive tackle, has caught the attention of recruiters. Although it seemed like he may have been leaning away from the Sooners, Haywood recently included Oklahoma in his top three schools along with Alabama and Florida State. Despite strong competition from teams like Texas A&M and Alabama, the Sooners have remained in the mix for Haywood.

Although On3’s Josh McCuistion predicts that Haywood may ultimately choose the Crimson Tide, the Sooners are not giving up hope just yet. Even if they are unable to secure a commitment from Haywood, Oklahoma is still actively recruiting other top prospects like Michael Fasusi, Andrew Babaloa, Lamont Rogers, and Darius Afalava.

It is clear that the Sooners are committed to strengthening their offensive line, regardless of the outcome with Haywood.
