Ohio State’s Football Staff Offers Four-Star Edge Rusher Derek Colman-Brusa, Prompting Recruiting Battle with USC and California

Ohio State football recruiting an edge defender for the class of 2026

On Tuesday, a new offer was made to Derek Colman-Brusa, a four-star edge rusher from Washington in the class of 2026. This development comes as Ohio State’s football staff remains active on the recruiting trail.

Colman-Brusa is considered one of the top 20 defensive ends in his class and has garnered attention from other schools on the West Coast, including USC and California. With a brother who is a three-star offensive tackle in the class of 2025, there is a possibility that the two could become a package deal for a college program.

Ohio State coach Johnson expressed gratitude for the offer to Colman-Brusa through a message on social media that referenced Psalm 118:24. The athlete thanked Ryan Day and the Rushmen for their opportunity and looked forward to potentially joining Ohio State’s football team.
