Ohio State’s Adam Wallin Holds Two-Shot Lead Going into Final Round of NCAA Championship

Adam Wallin from Ohio State University is in the lead after 3 rounds of NCAA golf.

Ohio State senior Adam Wallin holds a two-shot lead over Virginia’s Ben James and Stanford’s Karl Vilips going into the final round of the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California. Wallin shot a 3-under 69 on Sunday, putting him at 5-under par for the tournament.

Reflecting on his performance, Wallin expressed satisfaction with his round, stating that he had a solid day on the course. He highlighted hitting approximately 16 greens and avoiding mistakes, leading to a strong overall performance. If he maintains his lead in the final round, Wallin could become the first Ohio State player since Clark Burroughs in 1985 to win an NCAA Championship.

While Wallin leads individually, Ohio State as a team is currently in fifth place. The top eight teams after the final round will advance to match play to compete for the team championship. Notable Ohio State individual champions in the past include Jack Nicklaus in 1961. Wallin’s impressive performance has positioned both him and the Buckeyes well for the final round.
