Helsinki Stock Exchange Sees Rise as Pallas Air’s Share Plummets

On Thursday, the OMXH general index of the Helsinki stock exchange saw a slight rise of 0.8 percent, reaching around 10,390.90 points by the end of the day’s trading. Despite this uptrend, Neste’s share continued to seek direction after a significant decline on Wednesday.

In addition to Neste’s struggles, several other companies experienced setbacks on Wednesday. Life insurer and asset manager Command saw a 7.1 percent decline when a large dividend was released from its stock. Real estate investor Citycon also faced challenges, as its operating result for the beginning of the year fell short of expectations, despite announcing a profit range of 185-203 million euros for the current year.

Despite these setbacks, Citycon saw a slight increase in its share price by 0.4 percent on Thursday. Meanwhile, the company also announced the sale of the Kongssenteret center in Norway for a price close to its fair value according to IFRS. The deal is expected to be completed by May’s end.

Health technology company Bioretec also reported its results on Thursday morning, showing a decrease in turnover and an increase in operating loss compared to the previous year. Its share price decreased by 1.1 percent as a result.

Trading company Kesko saw growth in sales for April, with an increase of 6.6 percent compared to the same month last year. Grocery sales remained steady, while sales in construction and building technology trade increased significantly during that period. Kesko’s share rose by 1.7 percent due to this positive news
