In recent news, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (EM) has awarded a small business set-aside contract to provide Nationwide Deactivation, Decommissioning, and Removal (DD&R) services for EM sites, the National Nuclear Security Administration, Office of Naval Reactors, and the Office of Science. This project will involve various locations across the United States, and fourteen small businesses have been awarded contracts for this endeavor, including A2RGC LLC, Apogee, and GEM Technologies.
Among these small businesses, North Wind Portage has been awarded the initial Task Order under the Small Business Nationwide DD&R contract. This Task Order will support the Energy Technology Engineering Center Mission Completion project and will include Environmental Monitoring, Surveillance and Maintenance, Project Support, DD&R, and Groundwater Remediation services. The amount awarded for this Task Order is $18,601,576.
