Noblis Invests in Sedaro: Revolutionizing Digital Engineering with Cloud-Based Software for Spacecraft Design and Manufacturing

Noblis’ investment branch supports company specializing in digital twin technology

Noblis, a nonprofit science and technology company, has invested in Sedaro, a cloud-based software startup that specializes in creating digital twins for simulation and design work. Founded in 2019, Sedaro offers a software platform that allows users to design satellites and spacecraft in a singular architecture and environment.

The terms of Noblis Ventures’ investment in Sedaro were not disclosed, but it was announced on Tuesday. Sedaro’s co-founder and CEO, Robbie Robertson, expressed excitement about the partnership with Noblis and how it will help accelerate the application of Sedaro’s digital twin technology. In August, Sedaro secured a $1.5 million contract with Space Force to demonstrate the use of digital twins in spacecraft design, with a focus on in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing missions.

Space is a key focus area for Noblis Ventures, which makes early-stage investments in deep-technology startups. In June, Noblis Ventures made its first space-specific investment in Scout Space, which provides vision solutions for spacecraft to collect data and track objects. Mile Corrigan, CEO of Noblis, highlighted Sedaro’s tools as crucial for enhancing technology readiness in complex physical designs and expanding mission impacts for customers.

Noblis plans to continue investing in its venture arm to drive advancements in mission capabilities for government customers. The collaboration between Noblis and Sedaro is expected to bring innovative solutions to the digital engineering space and further enhance technology readiness for complex physical designs.
