Nigerian Wigmaker Sets a New Guinness World Record with 12-Foot Wide Hairpiece

Nigerian woman makes record-breaking wig measuring nearly 12 feet wide

Helen Williams, a wigmaker from Nigeria, has achieved a new Guinness World Record with her latest creation – a hairpiece that measures nearly 12 feet wide. This is her second record, having previously earned recognition for the longest handmade wig at 1,152 feet and 5 inches.

Williams took on the challenge of creating the widest wig in the world and spent about a month crafting this masterpiece using over 800 bundles of hair. The end result was an incredible wig that measures 11 feet, 11 inches wide, just one inch wider than a Mini Cooper car. She adorned the wig with 1,000 rhinestones and proudly displayed it in her office.

Williams expressed her excitement about breaking records in the wig category and mentioned that she enjoys taking on challenging tasks to become a better person and learn new things. She hopes that this wig will become a part of history for her children and great-grandchildren to admire in the future. The wig represents her dedication to the craft and her desire to continue pushing boundaries in her field.
