Pitchfest NGN

The Yale Network for Global Non-Communicable Diseases (NGN) is a group of dedicated faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing. Their focus is on research, clinical practice, advocacy efforts, and teaching related to non-communicable diseases, both locally and globally. NGN’s primary goal is to facilitate peer mentorship and collaboration among its members.

To promote collaboration and innovation, NGN organized its first Pitchfest on Monday, April 22, 2024. The event centered around the theme of multi-project funding mechanisms and began with an overview of P01 program projects grants, P30 center core grants, and U19 cooperative agreements. NGN members then presented project pitches that highlighted original ideas for addressing non-communicable disease challenges in various regions of the world.

The event concluded with a luncheon discussion where NGN members explored potential synergies between proposals and strategies for advancing project ideas. This discussion aimed to further the goals of NGN as a network dedicated to addressing global health challenges through collaborative research and funding initiatives. The Pitchfest showcased the innovative spirit and commitment of NGN members to making a difference in the field of non-communicable diseases.
