Jalin Hyatt, a second-year receiver for the New York Giants, is facing an unusual challenge that many individuals would wish to have – keeping weight on. Although it may seem like an insignificant issue to most, for an NFL player preparing for a 17-game season, it can be quite challenging. Standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 185 pounds, Hyatt worked tirelessly during the offseason to add weight in anticipation of his second NFL campaign. To aid with his weight gain plan, Hyatt incorporated a children’s snack into his diet.

During a recent interview with Giants Huddle, Hyatt shared his struggles with gaining weight and how he approaches it. “It’s definitely difficult for me to put on weight,” he said. “Some guys find it easier to gain weight or muscle. For me, it’s harder as I burn calories quickly.” To tackle this challenge head-on, Hyatt included PB&J sandwiches as an additional snack after finishing his full meals.

One of Hyatt’s go-to snacks is Uncrustables, which are frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that are commonly consumed by kids. He believes that these snacks will help him improve in his second year after having some remarkable performances during his rookie season. Drafted in the third round out of Tennessee, Hyatt made significant contributions to the Giants in crucial games throughout his first year.

Hyatt’s primary objective for the upcoming season is to be a more consistent player for the Giants, who he believes have the potential to be a playoff team. He sets high expectations for himself and his teammates, aiming to reach the playoffs and achieve success in the upcoming season.
