NFL Panthers Sign UFL’s Daewood Davis: A Story of Talent and Resilience in the Face of Adversity

Panthers to Add UFL Wide Receiver Daewood Davis

In a surprising move, the NFL Panthers have signed UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Davis had an impressive season with the Memphis Showboats, earning All-UFL honors with 41 receptions for 446 yards and five touchdowns on 70 targets in just 10 games this spring. Previously, he played for Oregon from 2017-2020 and Western Kentucky in 2021-2022, but unfortunately went undrafted in 2023. However, the Dolphins took notice and signed him as a college free agent.

Despite suffering head and neck injuries during a preseason game against the Jaguars in August, resulting in his hospitalization and the suspension of the game, Davis has now become the first UFL player to sign with an NFL team. This achievement is a testament to his talent and perseverance in the face of adversity. The Panthers are eager to see what Davis can bring to their team and how he can make an impact on the field this upcoming season.
