The 2024 NFL Draft drew a huge audience during the first round last Thursday, with millions of viewers tuning in to catch the action. Despite this, viewership levels dropped significantly during the following rounds on Friday and Saturday. While the second and third rounds saw an 8% decrease in viewership, making them the least-watched Rounds 2-3 since 2012, there were some improvements in individual network ratings. ABC saw an increase in viewership for Rounds 4-7 compared to the previous year, while ESPN and NFL Network experienced slight declines. In reflecting on the viewership numbers over the past few years, it is clear that there have been fluctuations in audience engagement with the NFL Draft.
