NFIB Launches Radio Ads to Thank Congress for Small Business Deduction Permanence

NFIB Launches Nationwide Radio Ad Campaign to Express Gratitude to Members of Congress for Backing Small Business Deduction

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), a prominent small business advocacy organization, has launched a new paid advertising campaign featuring targeted radio ads. The campaign aims to thank specific members of Congress for their efforts in making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent by passing the Main Street Tax Certainty Act.

NFIB Vice President of Federal Government Relations Jeff Brabant underscored the importance of making the Small Business Deduction permanent to prevent a massive tax hike on Main Street businesses. He urged Congress to prioritize passing the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which has bipartisan support in both Chambers. The NFIB is grateful to the lawmakers for their leadership on this issue in their respective states and districts.

The radio ads will run in targeted markets and states, recognizing Senator Bill Cassidy, Senator Tim Scott, Senator Thom Tillis, Senator Chuck Grassley, Senator Jodi Ernst, Rep. Jason Smith, Rep. Lloyd Smucker, Rep. Mike Kelly, Rep. Kevin Hern, and Rep. Josh Gottheimer for their support in making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent. This deduction allows small businesses organized as pass-throughs to deduct up to 20% of qualified business income and is set to expire in 2025.

In a recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, NFIB President Brad Close highlighted the importance of the 20% Small Business Deduction for Main Street businesses across the country. He emphasized its significance in providing stability and support for small businesses nationwide.

The NFIB continues to advocate for the passage of the Main Street Tax Certainty Act to ensure that small businesses can plan for future growth without worrying about sudden tax increases.

Overall, this campaign highlights how important it is for lawmakers to listen to small business owners and take action to provide them with stability and certainty when it comes to taxes. By supporting legislation like the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, we can help ensure that small businesses continue to thrive and contribute positively
