Kyle Larson Claims Pole Position at Texas Cup Starting Lineup

The Next Gen cars are set to take center stage on Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway as Kyle Larson and Ty Gibbs claim the top two spots in qualifying. Larson set a blistering lap of 190.369 mph, while Gibbs followed closely behind with a lap of 190.134 mph, both records for a 1.5-mile track.

In the second row, Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick will start third and fourth, respectively, based on their qualifying speeds. The third row is occupied by Chase Briscoe and William Byron, who qualified in fifth and sixth place. Notably, Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson opted not to participate in qualifying after experiencing separate incidents during practice in Turn 2.

Due to these incidents, Busch will start 35th in a backup car while Johnson will begin the race from the 37th position. The qualifying results have set the stage for an exciting race at Texas Motor Speedway as the drivers navigate the challenging 1.5-mile track in their Next Gen cars.
