Newcastle’s Yankuba Minteh Sought After by Serie A Team Roma; Everton May Assist in Acquisition

Ways Everton can assist Roma in securing Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle

Newcastle’s 19-year-old winger Yankuba Minteh is being pursued by Serie A team Roma, and Everton may assist in acquiring him for the Italian club. The new Sporting Director of Roma, Florent Ghisolfi, is focused on bringing in high-quality young players at reasonable prices, making Minteh a desirable option.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Newcastle is looking to sell Minteh for around €30M, prompting interest from Roma to negotiate a lower price. Competing clubs like Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, and Everton are also interested in signing the young winger. Everton could play a significant role in Roma’s pursuit of Minteh as their owner, Dan Friedkin, finalizes a takeover of the club.

If the takeover is successful, Friedkin might acquire Minteh for Everton and then loan him back to Roma, aligning with Ghisolfi’s strategy of acquiring top talent without breaking the bank. This potential move could benefit both Everton and Roma as they work together to secure Minteh’s services.
