New York State Regulates Automated Decision-Making Systems with LOADinG Act

Amid the growing use of AI and automated decision-making technology in New York State, there are concerns about the impact on human judgment. However, a significant development has taken place with the passing of the LOADinG Act. If assessments reveal any irregularities or biases, state agencies must immediately cease using the automated systems.
