New York Cares Invites You to Make a Difference During National Volunteer Week: Hands-on Science Projects and More!

Volunteers from New York Cares Assist Students at PS 135 with Their Science Projects

New York Cares has announced that they will be providing over 200 volunteer opportunities during National Volunteer Week, which will take place from April 19-25. This initiative aims to engage more than one thousand volunteers to serve individuals in need across the five boroughs of New York City.

One of the ways that New York Cares is making a difference is through their recent partnership with PS 135 Sheldon A. Brookner in Brooklyn, where they assisted fifth grade students with science experiments. The hands-on experience allowed students to enhance their core science skills and participate in projects like building Solar paneled racers and erupting volcanoes.

If you’re interested in getting involved and making a positive impact, you can learn more about the volunteer opportunities available during National Volunteer Week by visiting the New York Cares website. This is a great chance to support those in need in your community and make a real difference.
