Becky Lynch has been crowned the new WWE Women’s World Champion after emerging victorious in a Battle Royal on Monday Night Raw. This marks Lynch’s seventh world championship reign in WWE. In the final moments of the 15-woman Battle Royal, Lynch outlasted Nia Jax and Liv Morgan to become the new champion. Despite being put through a table earlier in the match, Lynch managed to make a comeback and secure the victory.
Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the title last week due to a shoulder injury. She held the championship for 380 days after defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39. Ripley also successfully defended the title against Lynch at WrestleMania 40. With WWE entering a new era under the leadership of Paul “Triple H” Leveque, Lynch’s championship win signifies continuity in some ways, but she is expected to play a role in building new stars in the company.
