The world’s largest Buc-ee’s is set to open on June 10th in Luling, Texas, according to a news release. The new Buc-ee’s location will be the largest in the country, with over 75,000 square feet of space. It will feature 120 fueling stations and a wide selection of drinks and snacks that Buc-ee’s is known for.
The store, located off Interstate 10, will open to the public at 6 a.m. CT, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon. This new store will replace the current Buc-ee’s location in Luling, which was built in 2003. Stan Beard, the Buc-ee’s Director of Real Estate and Development, expressed excitement about opening the world’s largest Buc-ee’s in Texas.
With at least 200 employees, the new Buc-ee’s store in Luling will offer starting pay above minimum wage, full benefits, a 6% matching 401k, and three weeks of paid vacation for its workers. This marks the 50th store for Buc-ee’s in Texas and the South, as part of the company’s multi-state expansion since 2019.
The new Luling location just barely surpasses the current record holder for the largest Buc-ee’s store in the world, located in Sevierville, Tennessee. This new store is a significant addition to Buc-ee’s expanding presence across the United States
