Mary N. Mannix, the President and CEO of Augusta Health, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Timothy Norton as the new Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Augusta Health. Norton will succeed Jean Veilleux, who will retire in July after four years of service.
Norton has extensive experience in healthcare legal and regulatory affairs, having previously worked at Health First in Melbourne, Florida, as the Vice President and Deputy Chief Legal Counsel. Before that, he was the Assistant General Counsel at WellSpan Health in York, Pennsylvania.
Norton is a native of Virginia Beach and a graduate of George Mason University and Widener School of Law. He also holds an LL.M. degree in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Mannix expressed her pleasure in welcoming Norton to the team, citing his expertise as an asset to the organization.
Excited to join Augusta Health and relocate with his family, Norton looks forward to contributing to the organization’s mission to enhance the health and well-being of the community. The Board of Directors is confident in his background in healthcare transactions and regulations.
