New Sports and Nature Park Opens in Forsyth, Promising Outdoor Adventures for All

Construction begins on Forsyth’s new Sports and Nature Park

The Village of Forsyth has recently announced the start of phase one of their new Sports and Nature Park. Located just north of Highway 20, adjacent to the new Shadow Ridge subdivision, the park will span over 10 acres and feature a five-acre fishing pond with two ADA-accessible fishing piers. In addition, there will be a nearly 5,000-foot walking trail connected to an existing walking and biking trail.

During construction, a broken field title was discovered that will be fixed to enhance drainage in the area. Village officials are currently working on finalizing the details for future phases of the park, which they plan to share with the public once everything is complete.

The Sports and Nature Park is expected to be a major addition to the community, providing residents with a beautiful space to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and biking. With its convenient location near Highway 20 and Shadow Ridge subdivision, it is sure to become a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
