The interface of the video playback platform for smart TV known as X closely resembles that of YouTube TV, with similar tabs for Home, Search, and Profile Pages. Elon Musk, the owner of X, has expressed his intention to make the platform versatile, offering audio, video, messaging, and payment capabilities.

YouTube TV is a subscription service that allows users to watch live television from popular broadcasters and cable channels in English and Spanish. It is currently only available in the United States. A source close to X revealed plans for launching an application with long-form videos up to two hours in length to position itself in the streaming video platform sector.
