New Signing Tom Bayliss Ready to Make an Impact at Lincoln City as Imps Manager Michael Skubala Looks Ahead

Lincoln seals deal for midfielder Bayliss following departure from Shrewsbury

In the summer of 2022, Tom Bayliss, a talented midfielder with experience in League One football, signed a two-year deal with Lincoln City after being released by Shrewsbury earlier that year. During his time at Shrewsbury, Bayliss scored an impressive three goals in 40 appearances and 10 goals in 81 appearances during his two seasons there.

Bayliss began his career with Coventry City and helped them secure promotion from League Two in 2018. He also played for Preston North End and had a loan spell with Wigan Athletic, where he was part of the team that won promotion to League One in 2022.

Imps manager Michael Skubala expressed excitement about Bayliss’s signing, praising him as an extremely talented player who has demonstrated his ability to score and create goals at the highest level. Skubala, who previously coached Leeds Under-21s, led Lincoln to a seventh-placed finish last season despite missing out on a playoff spot by just two points.

Bayliss is eager to make an impact on the pitch for Lincoln City and is motivated by the team’s attacking style of play under Skubala. He believes that this playing style will suit him well and aligns with his ambition to play at the highest level possible. Bayliss is excited about contributing to the team’s success and looks forward to making a positive impact on the pitch for Lincoln City.
