New Role for Ravens QB Malik Cunningham: He’ll be a Wide Receiver This Season

Malik Cunningham added to Ravens roster as a wide receiver

During Thursday’s OTA practice, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh made an announcement that Malik Cunningham would be serving as a wide receiver for the team this upcoming season. This decision comes after much uncertainty surrounding his role on the team.

Last year, Cunningham showed promise as a quarterback for the Patriots during preseason but only saw action in one regular season game before being signed by the Ravens from New England’s practice squad. Despite playing in the regular season finale, he did not have any carries, catches, or throws during his four snaps. The Ravens currently have Lamar Jackson, Josh Johnson, Devin Leary, and Emory Jones listed as quarterbacks on their roster.
