Small Utah Cities Recognized as Top Locations for Starting Businesses in the United States

In recent news, a report has ranked several cities in Utah as some of the best small cities in the U.S. to start a business. The study was conducted by WalletHub, which analyzed over 1,300 small cities across the country with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 people to compile a list of the top 30 best cities for starting a business.

The rankings were based on factors such as small business growth rate, commute times, average business revenue, office space costs, working-age population growth, and cost of living. The city that claimed the number one spot in the entire country was Cedar City, Utah. This city earned the top ranking due to its short average commute times of 13 minutes and recent growth in small businesses.

St. George followed closely behind at number two with characteristics like short commute times (an average of 16 minutes) and office space costs one-sixth of what is charged in Cupertino, California – the most expensive city in the U.S. In addition to Cedar City and St. George, ten other Utah cities were recognized as great places to start a small business including Washington City, Lehi, Eagle Mountain, Midvale, American Fork, Springville Spanish Fork and Orem.

This report highlights the business-friendly environment in Utah and the opportunities it offers for entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to start their own businesses in a supportive community with low costs of doing business.
