Eric Coleman has been appointed as the new President of Business Insurance at Farmers Insurance. In this role, he will report directly to CEO Raul Vargas and will be responsible for leading commercial underwriting, product development, strategy, finance, and identifying new market opportunities for the Farmers business insurance team.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Coleman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position. Prior to joining Farmers, he spent over a decade at Nationwide, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Small Business Insurance. In this role, he oversaw a diverse national product portfolio and managed regional operations, including underwriting, processing, and sales.
Coleman also held senior leadership roles at Travelers Insurance and Allied Insurance. His leadership skills have been praised by Vargas who stated that he has a proven track record of contributing to an organization’s bottom line and reshaping go-to-market strategies. Vargas expressed his enthusiasm for Coleman’s appointment and highlighted his deep expertise in business insurance which will bring value to the team in strengthening and taking advantage of opportunities.
