New Partnership Between Muscogee Creek Nation and 988 Mental Health Hotline Supports Tribal Members in Need

Muscogee Creek Nation Collaborates with Mental Health Helpline

The Muscogee Creek Nation has announced a partnership with the 988 mental health hotline to provide support to tribal members in need. This collaboration allows individuals struggling with mental health issues to connect with the resources they need seamlessly.

Through this partnership, Creek Nation members can access outpatient therapy at any of the tribe’s six clinics located on the reservation. Tyler Stone, the project director for Native Connections, believes that this option will encourage more tribal members to seek help when needed. He stated that by partnering with the 988 program, individuals who prefer to receive services within their own tribe have the opportunity to do so.

In addition to the 988 hotline, the tribe also offers a mental health crisis text line. Members can easily connect with resources for any type of crisis by texting “Creek” to 741741. These initiatives highlight the commitment of the Muscogee Creek Nation to supporting the mental health and well-being of its community members.

By partnering with the 988 program, the Muscogee Creek Nation can provide its tribal members with an additional resource for seeking help when needed. Through this collaboration, tribal members can receive assistance and support quickly and efficiently, which is crucial in addressing mental health issues.

The Muscogee Creek Nation has long been committed to providing quality healthcare services for its community members. With this new initiative, it continues to demonstrate its dedication towards promoting mental health and wellness among its population.

Overall, this partnership between the Muscogee Creek Nation and 988 represents an important step towards ensuring that tribal members have access to critical mental health resources when they need them most.
