Construction Firm Relocating to Jefferson, Bringing 130 New Jobs to the Area – Business Update

A New Orleans construction company, previously known as Palmisano Construction, has announced plans to move its corporate headquarters and consolidate its manufacturing and training operations to Jefferson Parish. The company, now known as RNGD, will be investing $25 million in the move, which is expected to create 130 new jobs.

RNGD will be expanding its prefabrication factory located near the Earhart Expressway in the Labarre Business Park. This move will keep more than 240 jobs in the area and create an additional 250 construction jobs at its peak. The company has had a presence in the business park since 2022 and has been considering this move for some time.

The development is scheduled to break ground on July 1st and be completed by January. RNGD has received incentives from Louisiana Economic Development, including a $500,000 performance-based award for facility and utility upgrades, pending approval from the Economic Development Award Program.

Jerry Bologna, President & CEO of the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission stated that this announcement reflects a significant economic investment in Jefferson Parish and demonstrates the commitment to both retaining RNGD in the region and expanding their presence through competitive incentive offerings at both the state and local levels.
