New Northampton Center-Back Jordan Willis is Praised by Manager Jon Brady as Key to Team’s Success.

Willis agrees to a new contract with Northampton as a center-back

Northampton manager Jon Brady has praised the signing of defender Jordan Willis, who made his debut for the club in a 2-1 defeat at Bolton Wanderers. Willis, who is 29 years old, joined the Cobblers as a free agent last October and played in 28 games last season.

Brady described Willis as an excellent professional with a strong pedigree and at a good age for a center-back position. He also praised Willis’ calmness, presence, and experience on the field, citing them as important factors in the team’s performance last season.

Willis began his career at Coventry City, where he played nearly 180 league matches, before moving on to Sunderland and Wycombe. Northampton has shown confidence in Willis by extending his contract, and his contributions to the team’s defense are expected to be crucial as they aim for a stronger season ahead.
