In 2022, Woods Rogers law firm in Roanoke merged with Vandeventer Black of Norfolk to form Woods Rogers Vandeventer Black. However, the company has decided to go by simply Woods Rogers to represent its 135 attorneys and five offices. The website now displays a green squiggle logo under the rebranding.

Meanwhile, a new law firm has opened downtown in Roanoke. Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman, a Richmond-based civil law firm, has established an office on Church Avenue Southwest. With three attorneys located in the office, it aims to better serve clients in Southwest Virginia. Harman Claytor specializes in defending government agencies and corporations in legal matters.
