Four New Jersey breweries win gold at the World Beer Cup

The prestigious World Beer Cup, widely recognized as the most esteemed beer competition in the world, took place in Las Vegas on April 24 during the recent Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America. Four New Jersey breweries emerged victorious at this global event, earning recognition for their exceptional craftsmanship.

Among the winners was Bonesaw Brewing Co. in Glassboro, which received a gold medal for their American-style brown ale called Lone Squirrel. Kane Brewing Company in Ocean also won top honors, taking home gold for their wood and barrel-aged strong stout, Dripping Maple, as well as a bronze for their Belgian fruit beer, Field and Oak Golden Raspberry.

Ship Bottom Brewery in Beach Haven also claimed victory with a gold medal for their golden or blonde ale, Mermaid Brown Ale. Additionally, MudHen Brewing Co. in Wildwood celebrated a gold medal for their scotch ale, Wee Heavy Wilson.

The World Beer Cup was launched in 1996 and aims to showcase craft beer and educate consumers about different beer styles and flavors. The competition spans over 100 categories, recognizing brewing excellence from around the globe.
