New Innovative Device to Treat Post-Trauma: Brainfulness Takes the Forefront of Mental Health Therapy for Soldiers”.

The nation is grappling with the need to legalize medical cannabis after experiencing a traumatic event. Sharon LuxenburgMapat, the directorate for research, development of weapons and technological infrastructure, is a leading organization that focuses on scientific and technological advancements to benefit Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers dealing with post-trauma, depression and anxiety following combat.

Dr. Avi Shoshani, a renowned brain research expert based in Jerusalem, has developed an innovative product in collaboration with a team of psychiatrists to tackle the challenges faced by warriors returning from battlefields. Traditional methods for treating mental health issues often come with severe side effects that patients struggle to tolerate. The new device created by Dr. Shoshani uses sensorimotor contacts to teach the brain a unique language, making it more attuned to changes following traumatic experiences.

The brainpower device treatment induces movements in the brain similar to mindfulness practices but without requiring intense concentration. It sends stimuli to specific brain centers related to depression and anxiety at varying speeds and densities. The device, known as Brainfulness, is designed for personal at-home use once completed development process.

Clinical trials have shown positive and significant results for the brainpower device under supervision of Helsinki Committee of Kfar Shaul Hospital in Jerusalem. With approximately 7.5% (around 680 thousand people as of 2022) of Israeli population using antidepressants and anxiety medications, there’s an urgent need for effective alternatives especially after an increase in patients diagnosed with anxiety or depression following Gaza war.

In conclusion, legalizing medical cannabis may be necessary for some countries facing post-trauma but alternative treatments such as Brainfulness could also offer relief for those struggling with mental health issues following combat.
