Kris Doan, a healthcare executive with over 18 years of experience, has been appointed as the President of Augusta Medical Group (AMG) on June 3. Doan joins Augusta Health from Health First, a health system in Melbourne, Florida, where he most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. Clint Merritt, Chief Physician Executive/Chief Medical Officer of Augusta Health, praised Doan’s leadership experience in healthcare, highlighting his ability to manage large multi-specialty practices and lead strategic initiatives for growth, innovation, and performance improvement.
Doan holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida – Warrington College of Business and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). In expressing his excitement about joining Augusta Health, Doan mentioned being drawn to the organization because of the strong provider presence in the medical group and their intentional impact on the community. He looks forward to working towards further strengthening the health and well-being of all individuals in the community through AMG’s initiatives.
