The Falcons have announced the addition of a new cornerback to their secondary. Kevin King has officially signed with the team, although the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
King was a second-round pick for the Packers in 2017 and spent five seasons with the team before sitting out the 2022 season in order to recover from various injuries. Unfortunately, his return to action was delayed when he tore his Achilles last spring while preparing to get back on the field.
During his time with the Packers, King recorded 197 tackles, seven interceptions, 30 passes defensed, one sack, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 51 games. In addition to acquiring King, the Falcons recently signed Antonio Hamilton and have A.J. Terrell, Mike Hughes, Clark Phillips III, Dee Alford, and Natrone Brooks in their secondary as well. The team is continuing to build up their defensive roster for the upcoming season.
