In Columbus, a new era has begun in Ohio High School Athletic Association tournaments as the state governing body announced changes that will impact future events and competitions. Meanwhile, in Calcutta, Beaver Local continued its winning streak by defeating Wellsville with a final score of 17-3 in just five innings. This victory marked Beaver Local’s 10th consecutive win in the season.

In Lisbon, an exciting baseball game took place where Columbiana made a comeback to defeat their opponent with a final score of 16-6. This win puts Columbiana closer to securing an Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference baseball crown.

In Alliance, the West Branch boys tennis team emerged victorious by defeating Alliance with a score of 5-0. This win earned West Branch the title of champions in the Eastern Buckeye tennis tournament. The boys results from the recent athletic events were as follows: Salem took first place with a score of 132, followed by Beaver Local in second with 116 points and East Liverpool in third with 114 1/2 points. United came in fourth with a total of 90 points.
